Bible Numerics

The Bible presents certain numbers which have a biblical meaning associated behind them. Probably the most well known is the number of the beast as presented in revelation. When the same number is tripled, such as 777 it is in a strongest form.

The number 888 represents the number of Jesus, because 8 represents new creation and new beginnings. The numbers 3 and 7 are considered holy and perfect numbers, the 3 representing the Trinity (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and 7 representing Divine Perfection. The number 777 represents God and Perfection, it is the number of God. The number 5 represents Grace, and the number 555 represents perfect Grace.

The number 9 represents Completion and Judgement, so the number 999 represents completed Judgement. Jesus died and completed his Work on the 9th hour, this represents Judgement and Completion.

Also the number 40 appears very often in the Bible as a period of time. Mose’s stages of his life were separated by three lots of 40 years. Jesus was tempted in the desert for 40 days. The floods Noah experienced rose for 40 days etc.
