Bringing the Sinner to Christ

It is stated in the Bible that all Christians have a ministry of reconciliation and are priests in Christ Jesus, that is, to reconcile the lost to Christ Jesus. We should support new converts and feed them milk as babes initially, revealing the most important aspects of Christianity, such as Faith and the Gift of Salvation. Jesus showed great love for the lost, as he mentioned in the Bible, I have come to bring sinners not the righteous to repentance, and the parable of the lost sheep, where Jesus mentions it is better and more celebrated in Heaven to bring one lost sheep rather than ninety nine just persons to repentance.

In the Song of Solomon, it is metaphorically put forward that Jesus has great love for his wife, the Church. We should build up the Church on the principles based in the Bible and in scripture. Paul in his Epistles / letters to the Churches states that Christians should stay away from gluttony, fornication, covetousness, base their Church practices as presented in Scripture rather than what the Church leaders add or subtract, don’t be busybodies, be examples and do not be idle. Scripture also describes the nine gifts of the Spirit, such as speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, healing, prophetic word etc. God decides who will receive these gifts, and it is stated in the Bible that these gifts will be distributed across the Church.

Paul also describes that the Church consists of evangelists, ministers, pastors and teachers etc. As there may be people in the Church that have a particular talent / gifting. But as a minimum we as Christians should be willing to spread the Word and not be ashamed of Jesus and his message of Salvation, as it is written in the Bible that a person that is ashamed of Jesus, Jesus is ashamed of him. Be on fire for Jesus. It is also states in the Bible that God chose you before the foundations of the world were laid. Through following the second greatest commandment, thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself, you should be a reflection of Jesus and demonstrate His love for the lost, and build up His Church.
