We are told in the Book of Proverbs, the Wisdom of Solomon, the most wealthiest and wisest King of Israel, that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding. The fear Solomon mentions is reverential fear (respecting the power of God Almighty). God loves you very much, and it is by Grace, not by works, we are saved. It is written where sin abounds, His Grace abounds more-so. Even though God is Almighty, the designer and engineer of the Universe (which means “one voice”), He also cares for the little things. Actually God doesn’t just love people, although they are worth many sparrows (as stated by Jesus in the Gospels), but He also loves all of creation (animals and even clothes the lilies which are arrayed better than Solomon).
God, the Father, is such an amazing God, that as humans in our limited understanding, can’t fathom His power. Many people, think humankind is so smart and self sufficient, and doesn’t need God, in creating our technology, but again, as Solomon said, there is nothing new under the sun (in the Book of Ecclesiastes). God has come across this before with the Tower of Babel in the Bible. Man previously tried to create their own massive empire in their own might, and God changed their tongues, such they could not collaborate, and confused them. The power of the nations is given because God allows it, not through their own might. Actually all throughout the Old Testament, God used other nations to wage war and punish Israel when they went astray, to lead them to repentance. God is in control. Actually Matthew Henry wrote in his Exposition of the Bible that the day of death is greater than the day of birth, where we enter eternal life and happiness. We are but sojourners and travelers in this life, and our home as Christians is in Heaven.
