Sin and the Blood of Jesus

We are all sinners, and there was only one man who did not sin, Jesus (called by the title “Son of Man” in the King James Version of the Bible who is also the “Son of God”). The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us of all sin and makes our stains of sin disappear and our garments to be as white as snow. Without Jesus we are undone. There is a great gulf separating humankind from God and Jesus is the mediator and bridge that allows us to cross the gulf to God the Father, as God cannot sin. We, as Christians, are not justified by the Laws of Moses or by good works. Good works don’t justify us, but should flow as a result of having Faith. As Jesus said, “they will be known by their fruits.” We have to be covered by the blood of Jesus, the power is in the blood that was shed for our sins. We should take Communion as much as we can, only when having a repentant heart, as he who drinks unworthy will bring a curse. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb, the Lamb of God, and He took our sins upon Himself, and His Father, God, gave Jesus the punishment that our sins deserved, death. The the wages of sin is death. Sin causes sickness and ailments, in the body, soul and spirit. However in the Bible there was a man who was born blind, and Jesus was asked “Who sinned for this man to be born blind?” Jesus responds that neither did the blind man’s parents sin, nor the blind man, but he was born blind to bring honor and glory to God. Jesus states that not everybody that calls Him Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but He who does the will of His Father in Heaven will enter.

Only people that are born again can enter the Kingdom of God as Jesus states in the Gospels. Some sins will be overcome the moment an individual is born again, but it may take time to overcome other sins. We all fall, and sin and come short of the glory of God. We must change our thinking and patterns that lead us into temptation. The Bible states with every temptation God will make a way of escape. Being born again is coming to a realisation that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are real. It is not bad having a bad thought, but you must dismiss it straight away before it takes root. Jesus states that we must not have stinking thinking, and that indulging a bad thought can be sin. Being Christian is not a part-time job, it is a 24-7 relationship with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. It is not meant to be easy, for the path that leads to Heaven is narrow and few find it, and the path to hell is wide. The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions. We must act now, and do good to those we can, not say “come again tomorrow and I will help”.
