The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

In the Bible, in the Gospels, the second coming of Jesus Christ is mentioned, typically in Matthew 24 and Mark 13. Also the Book of Revelation describes the second coming. The second coming is Jesus’s return in glory. This will be during a time of false Christs and false prophets, that will even, if possible, deceive God’s elect. We, as Christians, should be on the watch for second coming. It is stated in the Gospels that only the Father knows the day and hour, and the angels and even the Son don’t even know. There are a number of signs that Jesus describes to be on the lookout for the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jesus states that that there will be wars and rumors of wars, pestilence and earthquakes in diverse places. The Book of Zechariah prophecies what appears to be nuclear warfare, describing peoples’ eyes melting out of their sockets. The Bible describes two civilisations named Magog and Gog that go to war with nations described as Tarshish and the young lions, ranging from big to small. The Bible states that Christians will be persecuted and even killed, and many will be offended and the love of many will grow cold. There will be a point that Christ must return or else the world will be unfit for flesh to live. Jesus states that those that endure until the end will be saved.
