The Bible states that we should not fret, worry or be anxious. Although admittedly it is difficult, where our Faith is tested, our worldly understanding kicks in, but with the comfort of our Father God, our Friend Jesus and the Helper/Comforter, the Holy Spirit, they will help guide you through the darkest valleys and provide Victory, although the victory may not be what we have in mind. If it is in line with God’s will and is called for His purpose He will make it happen. Remember that Jesus even found it tough doing God’s will, being placed on the cross, but in his prayer to God in the Garden he said “Your will be done”.
In the Book of Matthew, Jesus states that God looks after the birds of the air, and they neither sow nor reap. Jesus also states, that if you have food and clothing, you should be content, and that the righteous won’t go begging for bread. If you find yourself in a dark and/or challenging situation, make God your first port of call; get on your knees and pray, asking for guidance and forgiveness, and sin no more. Make Him your focus.
Worry is the worldly understanding kicking in. We should live by Faith and focus on our spiritual understanding. We as Christians walk by Faith and not by sight. We, as Christians, tithe and make offerings by Faith. When worry starts to envelope you, remember God’s promises in His Word. It is written that “God will never leave you nor forsake you”. Have Faith my brothers and sisters in Christ.
